SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities
Goals
Goal 11.1
11.1 By 2030, ensure access for all to adequate, safe and affordable housing and basic services and improve slums.
Goal 11.2
11.2 By 2030, provide access to safe, affordable, accessible and sustainable transport systems for all and improve road safety, in particular by expanding public transport, paying special attention to the needs of people in vulnerable situations, women, children, people with disabilities and older people.
Goal 11.3
11.3 By 2030, increase inclusive and sustainable urbanization and capacity for participatory, integrated and sustainable planning and management of human settlements in all countries.
Goal 11.4
11.4 Redouble efforts to protect and safeguard the world’s cultural and natural heritage.
Goal 11.5
11.5 By 2030, significantly reduce the number of deaths and the number of people affected by disasters, including water-related disasters, and substantially reduce the direct economic losses from disasters relative to global gross domestic product, with a focus on protecting the poor and those in vulnerable situations.
Goal 11.6
11.6 By 2030, reduce the adverse per capita environmental impact of cities, including by paying special attention to air quality and the management of municipal and other waste.
Goal 11.7
11.7 By 2030, provide universal access to safe, inclusive and accessible green and public spaces, in particular for women and children, older persons and persons with disabilities.
Goal 11.a
11.a Support positive economic, social and environmental links between urban, peri-urban and rural areas by strengthening national and regional development planning.
Goal 11.b
11.b By 2020, substantially increase the number of cities and human settlements adopting and implementing integrated policies and plans to promote inclusion, resource efficiency, climate change mitigation and adaptation and disaster resilience, and develop and implement, in line with the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030, integrated disaster risk management at all levels.
Meta 11.c
11.c Provide support to least developed countries, including through financial and technical assistance, so that they can build sustainable and resilient buildings using local materials.
