The application of the Arteixo City Council to become part of the Innpulso Network has been awarded the distinction “City of Science and Innovation 2024”, granted by resolution of the Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities, at the proposal of the jury appointed for this purpose, and which met on February 24.

The Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities has published the resolution awarding the distinction of City of Science and Innovation to 22 towns and cities for their strong commitment to innovative local policies and has expanded the Innpulso Network to 112 cities. Among them is the municipality of Arteixo in A Coruña province.

The Network of Cities of Science and Innovation, or Innpulso Network, is a forum for meeting and defining innovative local policies where experiences and projects are shared. It currently comprises 112 cities of all sizes, including 22 new members. The Network fosters collaboration among city councils by sharing best practices in project management and communication initiatives with citizens, as well as promoting projects focused on developing R&D&I initiatives within national and European programs.

In addition, the Network promotes policies such as Public Procurement of Innovation, supports SMEs and innovative entrepreneurs, defines innovation criteria and encourages participation in projects within the framework of Horizon Europe.
