REHABILITATION AREAS (RIA)
RIA MEICENDE – O PETÓN
On March 1, 2024, the Arteixo City Council submitted an application to the Galician Housing and Land Institute (hereinafter, IGVS) for the declaration of a comprehensive rehabilitation area (hereinafter, ARI) in the Meicende-O Petón urban area within its municipal boundaries. The application included a certificate of the resolution adopted in this regard by the City Council in its session of February 29, 2024.
The area comprises 343 homes located on a surface of 63,091 m² which covers the land classified by the municipal planning as consolidated urban land with a global residential use rating, incorporating the original settlements of Sobrado, Meicende and Torroal.
The requested ARI declaration was favorably reported, from both a technical and urban planning point of view as well as an administrative one, by the competent units of the IGVS.

RIA OSEIRO – SOL Y MAR
On February 6, 2025, the Arteixo City Council submitted an application to the Galician Housing and Land Institute (hereinafter, IGVS) for the declaration of a comprehensive rehabilitation area (hereinafter, ARI) in the Oseiro-Sol y Mar urban area within its municipal boundaries. The application included a certificate of the resolution adopted in this regard by the City Council in its session of January 30, 2025.
The area comprises 719 homes located on a surface of 199,427 m² situated on land classified by municipal planning as consolidated urban land with a global residential use rating, incorporating the original settlement of Oseiro-Travesía de Oseiro and the “Sol y Mar” Urbanization.
The ARI declaration is in the process of being reported by the IGVS, both from a technical and urban planning and administrative point of view.
